Material of Construction:
a) Cast Iron,
b) Cast Iron with 2% Nickel
c) Cast Niresist (cast iron with 17.5% Nickel per AWWA)
Notes:
1- Nickel is added to the cast iron for improving the corrosion resistance
characteristics of the gate.
2- Cast Niresist gates are used for corrosive applications, such as sea water
applications, oily wastewater, fluid with petrochemical traces and/or aggressive gases, etc.. without the need for Cathodic Protection.
BBB – FABRICATED / SLIDE GATES (Per AWWA C561 Standard )
